Jae Friedman (she/they) of @jf_bodywork is a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist in Madison, NY. Jae offers massage therapy for folks looking to relax, work through chronic pain or tension, and (re)connect with their bodies. With her body-neutral lens in combo with her queer identities, Jae holds affirming, safe, and client-led space for therapeutic massage.
The foundation of Jae's massage style involves slow massage strokes using different angles and directions of pressure. This foundation helps communicate safety to your body throughout your session, allowing her to address both the muscular and fascial systems using a blend of techniques such as Swedish massage, hot stones, cupping, and myofascial release.
Jae works hard to demystify massage, including many conversations on when, how, and why to incorporate massage therapy into your self-care. Beyond the day-at-the-spa style of relaxation, she is a strong believer in the value of massage therapy for mental health and stress management, in addition to its powerful benefits in alleviating pain, tension, and aiding in injury recovery. Jae also provides interested clients with take-home resources to empower clients to extend the benefits of their massage at home!
Scheduling is available at jf-bodywork.com/schedule, but Jae always welcome emails at info@jf-bodywork.com or texts at (315) 367-2914 if you have any questions!
Fun fact: “While I really enjoy working with all my clients, I get a special joy from working with people who have never had a massage before! It is such a gift to be able to share the relief and relaxation of massage therapy with someone for the first time (and I love answering all your questions beforehand so you can be as informed & relaxed as possible)! Also, that can include kids! As long as a parent or guardian helps with the intake, signs the consent, and stays at the office during the session, I work with kids as young as six years old. Think your kid would want a massage? Email me to talk more!”

We'd like to take a moment to congratulate Henry Howard, the Executive Director of @artsatthepalace, who was recently recognized as one of the 2024 Impact Award winners for "Newcomer of the Year"!
"It was an honor to represent the Rural Arts amongst some of the biggest creative influencers in the Central New York region! Congratulations to the six other recipients of the 2024 Impact Awards!"
Read below for more about Henry's vision:
"In 2022 we started to ask the question “What if we stopped asking how to gather AUDIENCES and started asking how to gather ARTISTS?” With the help of our board members and our friends at Scrap Paper Social we began to find the words to match this new purpose:
Arts At The Palace is Madison County NY’s destination for artist empowerment through mentoring, workshops, and collaboration.
We provide rural artists and creators the support, facilities, and expertise to create, develop, and present new projects.
This focus on artistic development provides a dynamic creative hub where the surrounding community can benefit from enriching cultural experiences, events, and performances.
Today, the answer is clear: Arts at the Palace is a Community Arts Center. When we began to focus on artist empowerment, our offerings pivoted entirely: Providing a space to host artists and giving them access to professional level equipment for their creative work now looks like workshops, dances, theatre productions, lectures, music mixing, showcases, studio recording sessions and a lot of live music!
Because the truth is, rural CNY has an incredible wealth of talent and when we simply provide the resources & space for artists to connect, belong, & practice their craft, we’re left with a healthier, more whole community.
By investing in local artists, the audiences came in numbers! We are proud to say that this past year we held 65 events, attended by nearly 2,000 individuals and created by over 250 artists.
Cheers to you, and to many more years of growth in 'Cultivating The Arts, Culture, and Community'!"
